Cruisin'

In April, Trenton and I took our first real vacation since we had kids. We took a Carnival cruise to the Bahamas. It was so nice to get away and just be us. I won't lie though, I will never go on another cruise in my life. I got pretty sea sick 3 out of the 4 nights we were there. It was pretty fun when I wasn't sick though. We started out in Port Canaveral, Florida on Sunday. Monday morning we woke up and we were docked in Freeport, the Bahamas. We got of the ship and were going to get a taxi to the shopping area but we saw scooters for rent and decided that would be WAY more fun. It really was. It was interesting remembering to drive on the left side of the road and trying to figure out the speed limit in kilometers.  We did a little shopping and ate some wonderful coconut french toast for lunch and then decided to head back to the ship. We spent the rest of the afternoon just relaxing. There was a really funny comedian that we saw a few times too. The next morning we woke up in Nassau. They had told us that Nassau was the place to go to the beach. So we got up, ate breakfast and headed to the beach. We rode in a pretty sketchy taxi but we arrived safely. Oh man the beach was beautiful. It was so warm and clean and clear (and under control). We swam for a bit and got sunburned even though we put sunscreen on at least 3 times that day. Then we went to a local seafood restaurant/shack that was RIGHT on the ocean. The deck was literally right over the water. We saw some sweet fish swimming around while we ate. It was pretty cool. We then walked around Nassau for a bit and got back on the ship. The next day was just a day at sea where we did some gambling, watched some shows, and ate some food. Overall the trip was amazing and it was so nice to spend some time with my wonderful husband.

Those helmets make us look SEXY!

Relaxing on deck. I started and finished a book on this trip. First book I've read since Keagan was born. I need to read more...

Last night on the ship. Let me just end by saying that I am the luckiest girl on the planet. I am so in love with this man. He is my world and I wouldn't know what to do without him.
