So cute!

Trenton and I got ourselves a video camera for Christmas so that we can share all the cute things Dallin is doing with all of you. He has started cooing and I think it is the cutest thing in the world! Here are some pictures and a video of his cooing for you...enjoy!

He's growing!

I took Dallin to his 2 month well child appointment today and good news...HE'S GROWING!!! He's exactly 9 lbs and 22 1/4 inches long. He is doing great. He has hit all of his milestones that he should. The Dr. said he should be cooing a little more than he is but it's expected for him to be behind on somethings cause of his prematurity. He has a hernia in his belly button but the Dr said that they usually go away on their own and if not we will get it taken care of when he is a year old. Getting his shots was a little dramatic but I just think he is so cute when he cries. He is all worn out now and taking a nap. Just thought I would give you all an update on how he's doing.

Dallin's first encounter with Santa

After we set up our tree on Saturday we went to the local grocery store cause they were doing pictures with Santa. We waited in line for about an hour! Luckily Dallin slept the whole time. Here are some pictures of Dallin meeting Santa for the first time.

I took the first two pictures and we got this one from the photographer. My baby is just oh so cute!

Finally some smiles caught on camera

Dallin started smiling a few weeks ago but this past week he started smiling when we talk to him and tickle him and stuff. He is happiest in the mornings and Sunday morning after he woke up and ate we were talking to him and he started smiling. I had Trenton grab the camera and I finally caught him smiling. I was SO excited. So I thought I would share them with you. They look a little goofy but he really is smiling!

This one got a little whited out by the flash but I still think he is freaking adorable!

Getting ready for Christmas

Saturday morning we got up cleaned the house and set up the Christmas Tree. This is our first Christmas Tree as a married couple. Yeah, we were lame last year and didn't set one up, but I figured this year we needed to do one for Dallin's first Christmas. It really got me in the Christmas mood and even though it's a fake tree I am happy with the way it turned out.

Dallin was a great supervisor and would let us know if it wasn't how he liked it. ;)
I only helped with the decorations. Trenton got it all set up and looking beautiful while I fed Dallin (I tried to help putting the tree together but I just made it look ugly)
Dallin helped daddy, though

The final product. Our decorations are blue and silver. I think it is beautiful. Dallin loves to sit with mommy in the rocking chair and stare at the pretty lights.

Thanksgiving Weekend

For Thanksgiving Weekend we went home to Boise. We had T
hanksgiving lunch with my mom and then headed over to Trenton's parents and had some pie and got to show off Dallin to his side of the family. Then we headed to my dad's family get together for a little while and then off to my mom's family get together...it was a busy day. On Friday we went 4 wheeling with my dad. It was a BLAST! We got so muddy but it was worth it. That night we left Dallin with grandma Jayne (his very first babysitter) and Trenton and I went to dinner with Ty, Shar, and some friends at Old Chicago and watched the BSU football game. Saturday night we took Dallin to grandma Wendy's and she watched him while we went to New Moon. I am totally team Jacob ;) It was nice to get a couple nights out and get to socialize with people.

Sunday morning we blessed Dallin in Boise at Trenton's parent's ward. What a spiritual experience. It is so different when it's your own child. Dallin did so good. He didn't even cry, just made his little chipmunk sounds. What a little stud I have. I am especially surprised since it was time for him to eat, but he sure was ready as soon as the blessing was over. Church is a little different when you have a baby. I got to listen to Sacrament Meeting while sitting in the mother's lounge.

After his blessing we went to Trenton's parents and had some breakfast and then headed home. The trip home was a little rough but we made. Dallin is now eating every 3 hours instead of 2 so that makes things a little easier but he wasn't a big fan of being in his carseat for so long. We got home at about 10:30 p.m. and I got Dallin's things ready for the babysitter today. Yeah that's right maternity leave is over :( It was hard dropping him off this morning and I am missing him like crazy. The babysitter says he is doing great though! It feels good to be back at work though and back to real life. It was nice to have a reason to get out of bed this morning and to actually be productive and it'll be nice to start getting paychecks again.

Photo catch up...finally

Here ya go everyone. Here are some updated pictures of Dallin. Sorry it took so long but our computers haven't been working very well lately. He is definitely getting bigger. He was weighed on Monday November 16 and is up to 7 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long.
We are getting his pictures professionally taken on Saturday. We couldn't be more excited. The photographer is amazing and I can't wait to get the pictures back so you can all see them.

Welcome to the world...

We would like to welcome the newest member of our family...Dallin Hank Hegerhorst born October 12, 2009 at 9:10 p.m. weighing in at 6 lbs 1 oz and 18.5 inches long.
Dallin came 4 weeks early and we are truly blessed that he is as healthy and strong as he is. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. to not being sure if my water had just broken. I got back into bed and waited for Trenton's alarm to go off at 5:30 a.m. I then called my mom to see if it was actually my water breaking and she said that it was. Trenton got SO excited and was so worried about what he should wear not noticing the fact that I wasn't even dressed, so I got myself dressed and made sure to brush my teeth and we headed to the hospital. That was the start of my 16 hour labor with no epidural...

Only a minute old. My little man is such a stud. This was one of the best moments of my life. I am the luckiest mom in the world.

Since he was premature we had to stay in the hospital a day and a half longer than normal. This is our first family picture and we are so excited to get to take our baby home. Four days in the hospital made us go a little crazy but we were happy to have the help from the nurses and the Dr's while trying to deal with his jaundice.

All strapped in and ready to go home. Aunt Sharla made him that hat. He is such a little stud.

As I mentioned earlier, he has jaundice. To help with that we had to keep him in what is called a "bili-bed" anytime he wasn't eating. That was not easy cause we had to keep his eyes covered at all times and he moves all the time so at night we would have to take shifts watching him. We were SOOOO tired. Thank goodness that bed is gone now. He is still a little jaundiced but we finally got him eating better and gaining weight so the jaundice seems to be getting better.

The following pictures are Dallin's first friends. The first one is Hunter and he is 7 months old. Dallin sure did make these babies look huge! The second one is Lincoln and he is only 7 weeks old.

Dallin's first real bath. His umbilical cord finally fell off yesterday so we were able to give him a real bath instead of a sponge bath. Thanks so much for the bathtub Kaylin...it is great. You are pretty much amazing!

Sorry it took me so long to get pictures up but I'm sure you can understand how busy things have been around here. I hope you enjoy them.

Halloween Festivities

This weekend our friends Megan and Jay came to visit us from Boise. We decided it would be a fun little activity to paint my huge belly and what would be a better picture than a pumpkin? It was a little awkward cause it was super cold and my stomach is SUPER ticklish! I kept having contractions too so that's why the mouth is a little crooked cause my belly was never the same shape. This is also the only picture that I have with Trenton when my belly is actually showing. I thought that it might be important that Dallin knows that daddy was around ;)

After painting the pumpkin we had a little boy vs girl pumpkin carving contest. The boys did the one on the left and Megan and I did the one on the right...we pretty much won

They are about the same size

Ok...it looks more like a tie. It was fun and that's all that matters

I honestly had no idea I was getting this big! This is not what I see when I look in the mirror but Trenton says that this is what I look like, so I guess I gotta believe him. (I think the camera adds a few inches) But here you go guys. I thought I would show you how much I've grown in the past 34 weeks...It blows my mind!

Anniversary Inn

Trenton and I both had Friday off so I decided that we needed one last night away before our little man comes, so I got us a room at the Anniversary Inn on Thursday night. We stayed in the Phantom of the Opera room and yes Trenton sure did sing pretty much all he could remember of the Phantom soundtrack. The room was great! The jetted tub was so nice for my sore muscles. It was definitely what we needed. Then Friday we got up, got ready and went shopping. I got some hoodies that will fit me while I have this fat belly cause I pretty much have no warm clothes to wear for the last couple months of my pregnancy. We got Dallin some more clothes and then we went to Babies 'R' Us and bought the last of the baby essentials we needed so now I think we are ready for him to come home...that is a little bit scary.
