Dallin's second 1st Birthday party!

For his second Birthday party we went to Boise and celebrated with our friend's and family. It was so fun to get to see everyone! Thank you all for coming. My camera died so I got very few pictures...sorry

Dallin's first 1st Birthday party!

I know it's been a LONG time since I've done a post but for some reason I just have not been in the mood. Sorry Grandma's. Well we celebrated Dallin's 1st Birthday on October 12th. I can't believe he is already a year old! It's is crazy how much he's grown and all the crazy stuff he does. We had a party for him here in Roosevelt October 9th. It was fun. Just a little cake and ice cream at our house. Dallin LOVED the cake. Once he realized what it was he went nuts and when I took the pretty much empty plate away he screamed at me.

A little update on him...He is walking like crazy. He is getting so good at it but he knows if he wants to get somewhere fast he's still gotta crawl. I took him to his 1 yr well child appointment on October 25th and he is still 28 1/4 inches tall but he is losing weight. He weighed 18 lbs 11 oz. I am pretty sure it's cause he's moving around a lot more but we are going back for a weight check and for his immunizations (he was running a fever when I took him in so he couldn't get them) on Monday. I am hoping he has gained some weight back. The doctor said he is hitting his milestones right on time though if not early which is good since he was born a month early. I can't believe how smart this little man is. I love just watching him play and explore things. He is so cute! Here are a couple pictures from his party.

He's about to take off...

As you can see my little baby is starting to walk! It's so crazy. I can't believe how fast time goes. He's going to be a full on walking boy in no time. Also, he is going to be a monster for Halloween....

Got my tonsils out...ouch!

Sorry guys, I know it's been a LONG time since I've posted but...I have a good excuse. On Monday, August 16th I got my tonsils out. Let me tell you that was the worst pain I've felt so far. I have never been put under so that was super weird. All I remember is the anesthetist coming into the operating room and me asking him if he had put the anesthesia in yet and he said just a little bit of the first stuff and next thing I know I was waking up in the recovery room crying for my mom and my husband...super strange. The first day or two was ok and I was like oh man this is a piece of cake, I can handle this. WRONG! Day 3 came along and I thought I was going to die. I couldn't eat anything, it hurt so bad to swallow and even talking made me want to cry. Luckily they gave me some liquid hydrocodone for the pain (except that it was lemon flavored so that BURNED going down) and they gave me liquid amoxicillin, ya know the pink stuff we used to take as kids (not as good as I remembered it to be...BLEH) On Thursday I had really bad neck pain and it felt like it was only getting worse. The Dr told me to go into the emergency room cause I might have an infection. I went to the ER and there was no infection but I was super dehydrated so I had to get ANOTHER IV (which is the worst part of any of this) so that I could get some fluids in me. They sent me home and just told me to get neck massages which I'm sure my mom and Trenton LOVED doing...ha right. On Saturday I started feeling pain in my mouth and on my tongue. It was hurting for me to lick a popsicle or to eat or drink anything. I didn't realize till Sunday that I had white bumps all over my tongue and cheeks...thrush. Monday I went to the Dr and he confirmed that I had thrush and gave me some lozenges to suck on to clear it up. I was supposed to go to work on Tuesday but the Dr suggested that I stay home and take it easy so I could continue to take my pain killers and heal. My mom stayed the first week with us but needed to get back to work so I went home with her to Boise and Amy took care of Dallin during the day and Trenton's mom took care of him in the afternoon. I slept pretty much all day. I started feeling better on Friday and was able to start eating real food again. Luckily I only lost a total of 4 pounds over the two weeks. I was scared I would lose alot more and I did not have any weight to lose. I am feeling much better now. It's so nice to be healthy again. Hopefully getting my tonsils out will help with the strep and sore throats I always got. I really hope it was worth it.

Sorry for the long post. There are two more posts below, too. I had to catch up from the last month. I hope you all enjoy the pictures of my sweet baby boy.

I had a hard time waking up

He was so happy to see me out of bed that he just wanted me to pick him up. What a little sweetheart!

Lincoln's 1st Birthday and a family update

Lincoln, our friends Stefanie and Stuart's little boy, just turned 1 on September 1st. We went over to their house and ate cake and watched Lincoln (well actually Stefanie) open his presents. I have to admit he got some pretty cool stuff. They also gave Lincoln his own cake to dig into. It was awesome and I am so excited to get to do that with Dallin. Dallin was excited for Lincoln's cake too. As you can see in the pictures Lincoln was very good at sharing with him. It was so cute to watch the boys play together. Lincoln would be playing with something so Dallin would crawl up and start playing with it then Lincoln would go play with something else and Dallin would follow again. They only pulled eachother's hair and poked eachothers eyes a couple times. I am really looking forward to Dallin's Birthday which happens to be a month from Sunday. I can't believe how old he's getting.

Family update and picture catch up

I took Dallin to the Dr for an ear infection follow up last week and he is now 19 lbs and 28 1/4 inches long. He went through a major growth spurt last month and grew 2 inches in 3 weeks. I am glad he is almost 20 lbs cause that means we can put him in a front facing carseat when he is 1. He has just started standing on his own. It is so cute and makes me so happy to watch him learn something new almost everyday. He is always so happy and makes my day with his amazing smile.

Trenton just started his 3rd year of school yesterday. I am so proud of him. He does so much for our family. He is still working full time. He works four 10 hour days a week and gets to stay home with Dallin on Fridays. I love that they get to spend that time together. Such great bonding moments. Dallin loves his daddy so much!

I just got a new calling which I can't talk about quite yet, but I will post more about it next week. I am super excited though, it will be a good experience. Well that's pretty much all that's going on with our family. Enjoy the pictures!

Dallin Hank, Space Ranger

I just had to post this hilarious picture my mom got of Dallin while she was in town a couple weeks ago. We got him a new 'Buzz Lightyear Space Vehicle' for him to hopefully learn to walk behind but he hasn't quite learned how yet. So instead I put him on it and wrap his legs around the wheel so he doesn't fall off and push him around the house. He pretty much loves it. Not sure what he is doing in the picture or what the face is all about but my mom took the picture at exactly the right time. The other two pictures are just ones I thought were super cute that my mom took.

He is a hardcore space ranger

9 month well child...and a family update

I took Dallin to his 9 month well child visit yesterday and he is doing great. He weighs 17 lbs 5 oz and is 26 in long. When I took him in at 8 months he was 16 lbs 14 oz and 26 in long so he has put on a little chub in the last month. He is in the 5th percentile still but at least he's growing. The dr said that if he was born closer to his due date and was only 8 months old like he should be he would be in the 25th percentile so it's because he was early. I'm not too worried though cause he is hitting all his milestones right on time. He is crawling all over the place I can barely keep up with the kid. He is getting better at scaling the furniture and he is walking pretty good while holding our hands, which is a new developement as of last week. It's nuts how fast he is learning things. I love it. He now says "Dad, da da da" to get Trenton's attention and says "Ma ma ma" when he wants me to cuddle him or when he gets tired. He definitely says dad way more than he says mom though, but that's ok I'm not jealous I think it is the cutest thing in the world! He loves going for rides on the 4 wheelers with us. We just take him around real slow but he likes it. It's funny, whenever we are outside and he sees the 4 wheelers he tries to climb over my shoulder just to get to them. We just bought Dallin a little wade pool so he and I can sit out in the backyard and play in the pool on my days off since it's been so hot here lately. I am super excited to get it set up. I hope he likes it as much as he like aunt Sharla's pool. He is sleeping better at night. Still not as long as I would like but I'll take what I can get. He eats pretty much everything we do just in smaller "bite size" portions, all except dairy. I can't believe how fast time flies. We couldn't be luckier though. He is happy all of the time. Even without naps he is the smiliest little boy I've ever seen.

As for Trenton and I, we are doing good. Just living day by day. Trenton's job is still doing good. They just got a new contract which guarantees work for a year. Which is great news for us! Trenton will also start his 3rd year of school in September. I can't believe we have been here that long. It will be 2 years in September. We are liking it here more and more each day except for being away from our family and friends in Boise. Hopefully we can move back home some day. I am still working at State Farm 3 days a week and love being able to be home with Dallin the other 2 days. Maybe someday I will get to be a stay at home mom...we'll see. We have been riding the 4 wheelers a lot more lately, especially now that I have learned how to ride them. I even did jumps and caught some air...not too much of it but all 4 wheels were off the ground. Yeah that's right, I'm pretty much fearless. PAH HA. I will post some videos of that later this week. We have been a little busy with people in town. Our friends Megan and Jay came to town for the 4th of July and we had a BLAST. We road the 4 wheelers, went and saw Eclipse (LOVED IT!) played water balloon capture the flag in our front and back yard (that was pretty much AWESOME) and lit off some fireworks. Dallin loved watching all the pretty lights they made. He didn't get scared of any of them. I swear to you my kid is fearless, which is great sometimes and scares the crap out of me at the same time. He's gonna be a tough one to keep up with. Megan and Jay left on Tuesday and my mom came Wednesday night. It was awesome to have her here. She watched Dallin while I worked Thursday and Friday. Friday night her and I went to see Eclipse since she hadn't seen it yet (loved it again) Saturday we went out to visit Sharla in Salt Lake. We went shopping and sat in her little wade pool while Dallin crawled around. It was way fun. Well guys, sorry for such a long update but it's been a while. Hope everything is going well for you guys. Love you all!

Dallin's play date with Lincoln

Lincoln is our friends little boy. He is 6 weeks older than Dallin so he is a few milestones ahead which is great cause Dallin likes to follow him around and learn from him. Sometimes it's good things like...crawling, sometimes it's not so good of things like...a VERY high pitched scream. They are so cute together though. As you can see in the pictures Dallin just followed him around everywhere. It's a love hate relationship though, sometimes they are playing nicely together other times it's hair pulling and eye gouging. We take what we can get though.

Bathtime

First of all I'm not sure why this is all underlined but I'm too lazy to try to figure it out ;) So I think Dallin is so cute when he is taking a bath. He loves his little squirty turtle and pretty much takes his whole bath with it in his mouth. SO CUTE! He is always so excited when I turn the water on, too. He stands up at the bath tub and starts bouncing and giggling till I put him in. It's pretty much adorable. Here are a few pictures of my little stud muffin during bath time...Enjoy.

Ty Ty Ty

So, when Dallin was first born my big brother Ty told us that he would give us $1,000 if Dallin's first word was Ty. Ever since then Trenton tells Dallin "Say Ty" like 15 times a day. Well, the other day he told him to "say Ty" and Dallin said "tah tah tah" now we just need to get the "y" part in there. I know Dallin has a runny nose in the video...I wiped it right after so don't judge me. I know most mom's want their babies first word to be "ma ma" which I would still be very happy with but how cute would it be for Dallin to go around saying "Ty Ty"? (plus $1,000 would come in handy ha)

Gagging

I don't know why but for some reason Dallin thinks it's hilarious when we gag. One day I was feeding him and Trenton did something that made me gag (which isn't hard cause my gag reflex sucks!) but Dallin laughed harder than I've ever heard him laugh before. Yesterday I was trying to get his attention so I started making funny noises and decided to gag so here is the product of that.

I LOVE MY BABY!!!
